John Mica was born on January 27, 1943, and is the US Representative for Florida’s 7th congressional district and has been serving since 1993. His home city right now is Winter Park. He is the chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, starting January 3, 2011. Mica’s a member of the Republican Party. As the leader of one of the largest committees in congress, Mica is very responsible. He develops and oversees federal policy and projects relating to pipelines, aviation, highways, transit, rail transportation, the Coast Guard, maritime transportation, water infrastructure and resources, economic development, public buildings, and emergency management issues.
